Redefine and Step into Your New Narrative at the THRIVE RETREAT 2026

The world around us is rapidly evolving, and many leaders are making critical decisions while steadying their teams and maintaining momentum. This retreat is designed to help you answer that question. Together, we will identify the old narrative, define a new and more aligned direction, and give you the tools to lead from it with clarity and confidence.

The retreat includes three powerful coaching sessions, along with curated time in Lisbon, a city known for its rich history, breathtaking views, and vibrant energy.

COACHING SESSION OVERVIEW

Session One: The Old Story

Every leader and every organization is operating from a story. It’s been shaped by experience, pressure, wins, losses, and the identity you’ve built over time. And that story has worked. It got you here. But what got you here will not necessarily get you to the next level. Unexamined, that story becomes a ceiling.

For example, I’ve worked with business owners who bootstrapped their companies from the ground up. In the early days, being involved in everything was the reason they succeeded. But now, they’ve become the bottleneck, and the very habits that built the business are the ones holding it back from scaling. Another example is a CEO operating in a constantly changing environment who is facing pushback from her leadership team on their strategic initiatives. The CEO must step in to shape the narrative, influence the team to rise, and move the organization toward growth.

In this session, we will identify the patterns, assumptions, and beliefs that are currently driving your business. We will separate what is true from what is familiar and comfortable, and begin to release what is no longer serving your growth.

This is the starting point for real change.

Session Two: Authoring the New Narrative

A new narrative is not a rebrand. It is not a mission statement refresh or a new set of values on a wall. It is a fundamental reorientation toward what is possible for you as a leader, for your team, and for your organization.

This requires looking inward, clarity, courage and willingness. It is almost impossible to do in isolation.

For example, I worked with a leadership team that had outgrown the version of the company they had built. On paper, they wanted growth. In practice, their decisions were still driven by caution, protection, and old constraints. Once we defined a new narrative centered on expansion, ownership, and trust, their behavior began to shift. Leaders delegated differently. Decisions were made faster. The team moved with alignment, and growth followed.

Another example is a business owner I’ve worked with for 5 years. He was ready to move into a higher-level market but was still operating from an earlier version of his business. His pricing, positioning, and how he communicated his value were not aligned with the clients they wanted to attract. Once we defined a new narrative around their value and the level they were stepping into, everything shifted. They raised their pricing, refined their positioning, and began attracting the right clients.

In this session, we build your next narrative. We identify what belongs in your next chapter that has not yet been given room. We define the story your leadership is stepping into and begin to give it language, shape, and strategic direction.

When leaders have a clear new narrative, change stops feeling like loss and starts feeling like movement. That shift is not just personal. It is organizational.

Session Three: Leading From the New Narrative

Leading from a new narrative requires trust, consistency, and a willingness to move before everything feels certain. Great leaders generate their own certainty.

The challenge is leading from this new narrative while influencing the people around you. This becomes even more complex when others are unsettled, skeptical, or still operating from the old way of doing things.

For example, I worked with a leader who had clarity on where the business needed to go, but their team was not there yet. There was hesitation, questions, and resistance. Once the leader began to consistently communicate the new direction, reinforce expectations, and hold a higher standard, the team started to shift. Alignment followed clarity.

This session is about building that level of certainty and translating it into action.

How do you anchor yourself in a new direction when the path is not fully clear? How do you communicate change in a way that moves people forward rather than creating resistance? How do you lead a team through uncertainty while maintaining momentum?

In this session, we focus on the practical application of your new narrative. We identify the conversations you need to have, the decisions you need to make, and the standards you need to hold. Every person will leave with something specific: a decision, a conversation, or a commitment and the confidence and support to lead from this new narrative.

“My favorite part about the retreat was getting to know the other people, and all growing together. And pushing myself creatively, but also pushing myself with cultural experiences.”

Marketing Business Owner

“The workshops were fantastic to really dig into our business, and get some great tools for us to take home, and liven up our businesses.“

Security Services Business Owner

“I think there were several things that came to me through this week… thinking about how I’m holding myself back with my own conversations. I’m going to talk to myself as a big business, and a growing business. I’m going to get much better at communicating with my team. I’m going to meet with my team at least once a week to brainstorm how we can improve and to help them feel like they’re part of the process too.”

Contracting Business Owner

“The whole lead up to seeing the statue of David, and Michaelangelo’s whole process, as he chipped away marble from what needs to be expressed, and I’m taking that away to apply to my business: Chipping away what needs to be removed to see more of where I want the business to go”

Web Services Business Owner

“I’m a purse fiend, and I knew I was in trouble when I came here.”

“To be in the Chianti town where the chianti was made, and to learn some things about how it was made – that was spectacular"

“It was my first time in Italy, and getting to experience the culture, the food, the beautiful scenery, the history…. I really enjoyed the tours, and I can’t wait to come back”
